FireRebuild is the dedicated platform for documenting and providing the definitive historical record of the Palisades Fire, the worst unnatural disaster in the history of California. This site serves as a permanent archive ensuring the truth is preserved for future generations.
FireRebuild was initially established to expose the documented corruption, malfeasance, and intentional infliction of emotional distress directed at fire survivors by city employees. Born out of deep frustration with California’s unequal treatment of its citizens, the initiative began when it became clear that while some residents were forced through years of bureaucratic red tape, others received preferential treatment despite violating building codes and laws.
FireRebuild.com was originally registered on September 7, 2024, born out of profound frustration with this systemic municipal bureaucracy. After spending six years and over $900,000 strictly following the rebuilding rules established by the City of Malibu, our family was abruptly informed by the Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD) that because of the City of Malibu's action towards us, they would never allow us to rebuild the primary home we lost in the devastating 2018 Woolsey Fire.
Displaced by the decisions of the City of Malibu and LACoFD, we relocated to Pacific Palisades in late 2024 to find a fresh start, only to lose absolutely everything a second time just months later in the January 2025 Palisades Fire.
This consecutive, double loss of our family homes drove Michael Kureth to conduct exhaustive independent research into official narratives surrounding the inception of the 2025 Palisades Fire, specifically the heavily repeated claim that "hurricane-force winds" at the start of the fire made it uncontainable.
Kureth successfully refuted these false narratives by cross-referencing and analyzing the government entities' own raw meteorological data and contemporary public statements. Through this analysis, he directly exposed municipal leadership's public wind claims as fabrications. This technical weather research culminated in his March 2025 Palisades Fire: Weather Report and Analysis. The data in this report proved robust enough to be formally adopted and cited within the "Factual Allegations" (Section E) of both the Master and Subrogation Complaints in active Palisades Fire litigation.
In the immediate aftermath of the second disaster, FireRebuild transitioned into a specialized social network and community hub. It was designed to give all fire victims, primarily survivors of the Palisades, Eaton, and Woolsey fires, a secure space to share vital recovery resources, local information, and mutual support.
Despite receiving significant attention and exposure for investigative reports released in May and June of 2025, it became clear that the fire survivor community was not seeking another social media network. During that same period, a separate group, Pali Strong, was awarded a $500,000 grant from FireAid to construct a platform identical to what already existed and was functioning on FireRebuild. Recognizing this duplication of community infrastructure, FireRebuild officially decommissioned its social networking features to pivot its focus purely toward data-driven investigation and exposing the truth.
This wind and weather research was originally compiled to confront official disinformation and to urgently alert survivors to join mass litigation before the restrictive six-month statute of limitations expired. Knowing firsthand the tactics used after major fires, Kureth recognized that victims were being intentionally misled by administrative narratives designed to discourage them from filing timely claims against responsible parties.
By using official public records to prove that leadership was lying, this platform serves to empower victims to take decisive legal action and sue for accountability. Ultimately, this research was published to awaken the public to the stark reality that something else entirely had occurred on the ground, an anomaly that was later revealed to be an intentional and systematic cover-up. To date, no evidence has been produced by any municipal or state agency to disprove the factual findings of Kureth's reports.
To ensure absolute transparency and objectivity, FireRebuild operates outside of traditional corporate, commercial, or institutional structures. This platform is not a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, nor is it a for-profit business enterprise. It has accepted no public grants, corporate sponsorships, or private donations. To maintain complete editorial independence, this website is entirely free of advertising, product sales, and promotional placements.
While other entities have focused heavily on profiting, soliciting donations, or gaining personal publicity from these municipal tragedies, Michael Kureth operates FireRebuild as a completely free, unmonetized resource. The platform remains fiercely independent, dedicated exclusively to documenting hard evidence and preserving an unassailable, accurate historical record of these events for the community.
