Water Supply

Reservoir levels are easy to monitor, yet no consistent oversight exists, leaving firefighters without the resources they need when it matters most.
One of the most critical yet overlooked fire-prevention and suppression resources is water availability. During fire season, all reservoirs and cisterns in vulnerable zones must be adequately filled and regularly inspected. In multiple recent fire events, firefighters reported inadequate water pressure, dry hydrants, or empty tanks, severely limiting their ability to contain flames and protect homes.
Reservoir levels should be treated as a public safety metric, not just an environmental or utility management concern. A minimum water storage threshold must be enforced and publicly monitored.
